VeriFone stops selling mobile service Sail to merchants

On December 15th VeriFone announced that the company gave up trying to sell the service Sail, an application for the conversion a smartphone into device for accepting card payments, to merchants. Instead, the company will offer this service to banks. This happened due to the fact that the company considers acquiring the micro-enterprises fundamentally unprofitable. VeriFone said that they will continue to develop Sail, but now only in cooperation with banks and acquiring companies.
