Security of contactless payment cards has been called into question after British scientists proved the possibility of data theft even at a distance of 80 cm. Contactless payment cards are used to work only at a few centimeters away from the payment terminal, but researchers from the University of Surrey (UK) claim to have been able to intercept successfully the user’s data using the «special» equipment at a much greater distance.
