Contactless transactions MasterCard and Maestro almost tripled from 2012 to 2013

Global payment system MasterCard announced that within one year, which ended in December 2013, MasterCard contactless payments has grown significantly in Europe by increasing the number of countries where contactless cards are accepted.
Contactless payments are now available in 63 countries worldwide, and in 34 European countries, including seven new ones that were added in 2013.
