As the company seeks to reduce the number of users paying with coins and notes in its vending machines, Coca-Cola Co. hopes to increase the use of payment cards and mobile phones by paying for a bottle of Coke in next years. The company also admitted that this year it will expand card acceptance in the tens of thousands of vending machines within the U.S.. In addition, many of them will be implemented with contactless payment acceptance. At the moment, about 15% of Coca-Cola machines accept cards and about half of them accept contactless payments.
