The level of 3D Secure usage varies across European countries

The popularity of authentication technology 3D Secure varies considerably across European countries, according to a study of Ogone.
While most online card payments pass a process of authentication by 3D Secure in the UK (52.5%), the Netherlands (60.1 %), Belgium (81.8%) and Switzerland (74.6%) , online shoppers in other countries are verified in less than one out of three cases, especially in France (19.4%), Germany (28% ) and Spain (16.6%).
