Italian buses are testing mobile payments

Italian mobile payment consortium Movincom along with local transportation company AIM Mobilitia launched the first pilot program for the implementation of mobile payments.
Starting this week, the four bus routes will be testing mobile payments. Thus, thanks to the new solution, fare of € 2 ($ 2.60) can be payed by SMS or QR-code, which is displayed at bus stations.
