MasterCard gains market of Japan, introducing 410,000 contactless terminals

MasterCard announced that it is going to introduce 410,000 contactless terminals with support of MasterCard PayPass in Japan over the next three years. This will allow the tourists in the country to enjoy the speed and convenience of contactless transactions.
The introduction and spread of contactless payments in Japan earlier than in other countries, has led to an increase of transactions to 2 trillion yen (approx. $ 20 billion) in 2011.
