The European Commission adopted a Directive on payment services PSD2 in the interests of consumers and retailers

In order to adapt to the European payments market to opportunities of the single market and support the growth of the EU economy, the European Commission has adopted a number of documents, namely:

• Directive on Payment Services (PSD2)
• The proposal for the regulation of interchange fees for card payments.

Enhanced document PSD2 contains a number of important new elements and improvements in the European payments market.
